What would you say is your photographic style?

If I had to narrow it down, I’d say my photographic style is a combination of candid photojournalism and romantic posed photographs. My absolute favorite photographs are colorful and naturally lit with a timeless, slightly vintage feel. I strive to capture the spontaneous moments of sparkling chemistry between you and your love, while also creating delicate, detailed shots that make you look your best.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by so many things. I grew up loving books and the worlds created within them, so I’m often inspired by the great literary romances. Anne of Green Gables, Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, and The Great Gatsby are some of my favorites. I’m also inspired by the aesthetics of quirky films – Amelie and Moonrise Kingdom to name a few. And of course I’m most inspired by YOU – real life, great romances.

Do you shoot family portraits at weddings?

Yes! Most people want family portraits. They’re a good keepsake to remember who was there to share your wedding day with you. At our pre-wedding meeting, we’ll discuss what is important to you and when to schedule these portraits.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, I have both liability and equipment insurance. Many venues require insurance. If your venue requires proof of insurance, please let me know a month ahead of time so I can prepare the documentation.

What are “lifestyle” photos?

Lifestyle photos are a catch-all term for anything not wedding or engagement related. Family portraits, events, anniversaries, maternity and newborn photography are all considered lifestyle photography. My goal as a photographer is to forge relationships and I would love to photograph my clients through the important moments beyond the wedding.

What equipment do you use?

I use top-of-the-line Canon gear along with backups. Just in case something happens, I’ll come well-prepared so that I don’t miss a moment.
